Call Committee Prayer Team - CCPT – 8/22/19 Purpose: To lift the call committee members and their mission up in prayer. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. Jeremiah 3:15 Ideas for your prayers: o God’s will be done o The Holy Spirit will be very present, and lead and direct every call committee meeting o Wisdom, understanding, and commitment for the call committee members – Mark Dunkin, Tiffany Creason, Kitty Davis, Steve Gaunt, Erin Jorgensen, Erin Klepfer, Gene Miller, Ross Morkal, Mark Pearson, Steve Sewell, and Diane Turner o The name of God’s choice for our new Senior Pastor will appear in the committee meetings and will quickly rise to the top of the list o The Holy Spirit will enter the heart of God’s chosen Senior Pastor so that he will know that it is God’s will that he come to Kokomo o GOD’S WILL BE DONE Please conclude with the Lord’s Prayer.

Ladies Koinonia resumes next Thursday morning (Sept. 5th) in Mission Hall from 9:30-11:00 am as Pastor Akers leads our discussion on the book of Ruth. Walk the journey of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz and discover the devoted love of God and His transformative power in our lives.

Reminder- Summer Celebration TOMORROW evening from 6-9 for PATHWAYS. All youth that have completed 5th-7th grade are welcome to attend this event! Friends are always welcome! Be ready to get wet & messy! Wear old shoes and a light colored t-shirt if possible. A change of clothes and a towel are probably a good idea, too!

LCOR Youth & families will be washing cars as part of the Serve Together weekend. Make sure you stop by for a free wash!

All children preschool through 4th grade will be meeting in Fellowship Hall from 9:30-10:30 am for “Kids Own Worship.” Each session focuses on the most important thing in life: a growing relationship with Jesus. Older youth and adults are needed to help guide the younger students through the experience. We begin with music videos that praise God. These are similar to the ones we use for VBS. This is followed by activities to help learn the Bible point, including games and acting out the Bible stories. Then we end with a prayer time. A song leader and story leader are needed each week. Talk to a member of the Board of Parish Life if you would like to help out (Kitty Davis, Kaila Akers, Rhonda Katter, or Pastor Akers).

New Sunday School format for the summer months - preschool and elementary aged students meet together in Fellowship Hall for songs, games, Bible stories, and prayer. Older youth and adults assist with the learning activities. See Pastor Akers for more details.

VBS isn't just for the kids! This year we will be having an Adult Bible Study group that will meet while the kids are enjoying their time at "ROAR!" Our VBS music leader, Renee Young, will be leading a study throughout the week. All are welcome, even if you don't have children attending VBS. More details to come.
